What Is Citrix SecurAccess with Chrome Enterprise?
Citrix SecurAccess with Chrome Enterprise is a joint Citrix and Google solution that delivers browser-native Zero Trust access to web, SaaS and private apps. It combines Citrix SecurAccess ZTNA (formerly Citrix Secure Private Access) for identity- and context-aware access with Google's Chrome Enterprise protections for data loss prevention and threat defence, all inside the browser your users already know.
It's built on Google's enterprise browser security and is licensed, managed and supported as a Citrix product, through Citrix licensing, the Citrix console and Citrix support. There are no endpoint agents to deploy and no extra infrastructure to run.

How It Works
A simple flow from the user's browser to your SaaS and private apps, with policy checked at every step.
1. Sign in and check the device
The user signs in through Citrix Workspace with your identity provider, such as Microsoft Entra ID, and Citrix Device Posture checks the device before access is granted.
2. Apply contextual policy
The user is enrolled in a managed Chrome profile. Citrix SecurAccess ZTNA decides which apps they can reach, and Chrome enforces DLP and safe-browsing controls.
3. Connect securely
SaaS apps are reached directly. Private web apps route through Citrix SecurAccess and a Citrix Connector Appliance that makes outbound-only connections, so no inbound ports are opened.

What happened to Citrix Secure Private Access?
Citrix Secure Private Access has been renamed Citrix SecurAccess ZTNA. Functionality, licensing and support are unchanged. SecurAccess with Chrome Enterprise builds on it with browser-level protections.
Is this the same as buying Chrome Enterprise Premium from Google?
No. The solution is built on Google's Chrome Enterprise Premium technology, but it's part of the Citrix platform. You license, manage and get support for it through Citrix, rather than buying it separately from Google.
Does it replace Citrix DaaS?
It replaces DaaS for web and SaaS apps that don't need a virtual session. Keep Citrix DaaS for Windows and legacy apps, which SecurAccess can still reach, so you run one access platform for every app type.
Can it replace our VPN?
For most users, yes. It gives app-by-app Zero Trust access to web, SaaS, SSH and RDP resources without putting users on your network.
Does it work on unmanaged and personal devices?
Yes. Users work in a managed Chrome profile, and policies control copy and paste, uploads and downloads, so corporate data stays protected on BYOD and contractor devices.
Does it support legacy apps like RDP, SSH and databases?
Yes. Internal web apps, SaaS, and supported RDP and SSH resources run directly in Chrome. Other TCP/UDP apps, such as on-premises databases, are reached through the Citrix Secure Access client, under the same Zero Trust policies.
How does it compare with Zscaler Private Access or Island?
Zscaler Private Access secures the network tunnel and needs a client agent, while Island secures apps inside its own proprietary browser. Citrix SecurAccess with Chrome Enterprise combines Zero Trust network access with browser-level controls in the Chrome browser users already know, and supports legacy RDP, SSH and TCP/UDP apps.
