Citrix acquired Numecent in September 2026. Altanora helps you use Cloudpaging to shrink golden images, rescue legacy apps and stream applications to virtual and physical desktops.
Cloudpaging is application packaging and delivery technology from Numecent, now part of Citrix. It packages Windows applications into isolated containers that are independent of the operating system image, then streams them to users on demand. In Citrix DaaS and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Cloudpaging is one of the supported package types in Citrix App Packages, alongside App-V, MSIX and others. Cloudpager adds central assignment, updates, rollback and usage reporting.
Citrix announced the acquisition on September 1, 2026. Licensing and packaging details have not been announced yet; we'll tell you what applies to your subscription as Citrix publishes it.
