With Citrix DaaS Cloud, Citrix hosts and upgrades the control plane: delivery controllers, StoreFront, Director and licensing. With Citrix DaaS Local, formerly Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, you run the control plane yourself. In both, your desktops and apps run where you choose.
Often not. Citrix Universal Hybrid Multi-Cloud and the Citrix Platform License include both Citrix DaaS Cloud and Local, so you can move the control plane without buying new licenses.
Wherever you choose: on-premises, in Azure, AWS or Google Cloud, or in an Altanora-hosted cloud. Only the control plane moves to Citrix Cloud.
Citrix Cloud's control plane runs outside Canada, but your desktops, apps and user data stay in your own resource location, such as a Canadian data center. For Protected B workloads, Altanora offers a sovereign Canadian option.
Most moves take a few weeks, because desktops and images can stay in place while Cloud Connectors link them to Citrix Cloud. Eligible projects may qualify for Citrix Funded Pro Services.
