Responsibilities 

Microsoft 

• Design and maintain an overall strategy for the use of Microsoft technologies. 
• Develop robust and scalable system and security architectures using Microsoft solutions to meet business needs while ensuring data protection. 
• Manage the installation, configuration, and optimization of Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory services, including group policy management, authentication, and authorization. 
• Oversee the use of Azure cloud services, including resource management, virtual network configuration, and the implementation of backup and disaster recovery solutions. 
• Manage Office 365 (Microsoft 365) applications, ensuring the optimal configuration of communication and collaboration services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams. 
• Plan and execute regular maintenance of Microsoft infrastructures, including security updates and upgrades to ensure system reliability and performance. 

Citrix 

• Design and maintain a robust, scalable, and secure Citrix architecture. 
• Develop and implement strategies for delivering applications and virtual desktops, ensuring solutions are optimized for performance and security. 
• Manage the deployment of Citrix solutions, including the configuration of vApps (XenApp)/vDesktops (XenDesktop) servers, Netscaler, and integrations with existing infrastructures. 
• Monitor and optimize the performance of Citrix environments to ensure a high-quality user experience, including bandwidth management and performance tuning. 
• Implement and manage security policies to protect Citrix environments and corporate data, in collaboration with the IT security team. 

VMware 

• Design and maintain a robust, scalable, and secure VMware virtualization architecture that meets business needs and performance and business continuity objectives. 
• Develop and implement virtualization strategies to optimize IT resources, reduce costs, and improve IT flexibility and responsiveness. 
• Oversee the deployment and configuration of VMware environments, including vSphere, vCenter, and VMware Horizon, as well as integration with other systems and technologies. 
• Ensure regular maintenance of VMware systems, including updates, security patches, and hardware replacement. 

Network 

• Design scalable and secure network architectures. 
• Oversee the deployment of network solutions, including hardware installation, software configuration, and systems integration. 
• Monitor and analyze network performance to proactively identify and resolve issues. Optimize performance to ensure a smooth user experience. 
• Manage regular network maintenance, including software updates, hardware replacement, and security vulnerability remediation. 
• Provide high-level technical support for complex network issues and guide network support teams in resolving daily problems. 

Backup / Storage 

• Design and maintain a robust, scalable, and secure backup and restoration architecture with Veeam, meeting the business needs and continuity and disaster recovery objectives of the company and clients. 
• Develop and implement business continuity and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring backup and restoration solutions align with expected service levels. 
• Oversee the deployment and configuration of Veeam solutions for data backup, replication, and restoration across the company. 
• Monitor and optimize the performance and efficiency of backup and restoration operations to minimize impact on production systems and ensure rapid restoration when needed. 
• Ensure the security of backed-up data and manage retention policies in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. 
• Manage the regular maintenance of Veeam solutions, including software updates, patch deployment, and backup hardware replacement. 
• Provide technical expertise for resolving complex issues related to backup and restoration operations and ensure higher-level support for critical incidents. 
• Design and maintain a robust and scalable storage architecture that meets the current and future needs of the organization while optimizing costs. 
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and update of storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and object storage, as well as integration with cloud environments. 
• Monitor and analyze the performance and capacity of storage systems to anticipate expansion needs and optimize resource usage. 
• Plan and execute regular maintenance of storage infrastructures to ensure their reliability and performance. 
• Develop and implement data backup and recovery strategies to minimize losses in case of incidents. 
• Design and maintain a robust and scalable server architecture, including virtualization and cloud solutions, to meet the business needs and performance objectives of the organization and clients. 
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and update of physical and virtual servers, ensuring optimal configuration for applications and services. 

Requirements 

Windows 

• In-depth experience with Windows server management, including installation, deployment, and troubleshooting. 
• Knowledge of server roles, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DNS, DHCP, file servers, DFS-N, DFS-R, Cluster, Scale-out. 
• Proficiency in managing Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) and Azure AD Connect. 
• Mastery of Windows operating systems 2016/2019/2022 and Windows 10/11. 

Virtualization 

• Proficient with platform virtualization solutions VMware ESX, Citrix Hypervisor, and Microsoft Hyper-V. 
• Technical and conceptual mastery of desktop virtualization solutions Citrix DaaS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, VMware Horizon. 
• Mastery of Citrix PVS and MCS, Workspace Environment Manager, Citrix App Layering, and the concepts of Layers. 
• Proficiency in VMware App Volumes or LiquidWare FlexApp. 
• Mastery of user profile management solutions Citrix Profile Management, Microsoft FSLogix, and VMware Dynamic Environment Management. 
• Proficiency in managing Citrix Netscaler in standalone, HA, Cluster modes, and configuring Citrix Netscaler Gateway, Load Balancing Server, Context Switching. 
• Knowledge of Citrix Netscaler security solutions such as WAF, DoS attack defense. 
• Experience with performance monitoring products for environments like PRTG, Control UP, eG Monitoring, Grafana. 
• Proficiency in VMware configuration including DRS, Resource Groups, dvSwitch, Fault Tolerance, and Storage. 

Network 

• Knowledge in configuring networks, firewalls, switches such as FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, Meraki, Ubiquiti, Cisco Nexus. 
• Expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting FortiGate firewalls, and experience with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiSandbox. 
• Mastery of network technologies including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching technologies, network security (firewalls, IPS/IDS), VPN, and wireless technologies. 
• Understanding of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) concepts. 
• Experience in managing enterprise storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, cloud storage, and Software-Defined Storage (SDS) technologies. 
• Deep understanding of networks and their interactions with storage infrastructures, including storage protocols like iSCSI, Fibre Channel, and NFS. 
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems. 
  
  

SCCM 

• Experience in managing SCCM, including planning, configuring, deploying, and optimizing SCCM in an enterprise environment. 
• Demonstrated ability to use SCCM for effective application and update deployment, as well as managing security policies and configurations. 
• Experience managing Microsoft Intune, including planning, configuring, deploying, and optimizing mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) in an enterprise environment. 
• Ability to use Intune to enhance device and data security, including implementing compliance policies, data protection, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). 
• Experience managing Windows 10/11 WIM images and application packaging. 

Automation 

• Mastery of Microsoft PowerShell scripting language and other languages such as Python or Bash to automate administration and deployment tasks, improving operational efficiency and reducing human errors. 
• Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure as Code tools. 
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. 
• Experience with hybrid cloud solutions and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). 

Backup / Storage 

• Experience implementing, configuring, and optimizing Veeam backup, restoration, and replication solutions.
• Significant experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam One, and other Veeam products is essential. 
• Experience in managing IT projects, including planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale virtualization projects.
