Human Resources Advisor

The Human Resources Advisor provides HR guidance to managers, ensure legal and ethical compliance, support employee well-being, manage immigration, develop employer branding, and oversee documentation, policies, and procedures to enhance workforce management.



Human Resources


• Maintain regular contact with managers in a context of accountability for human resources management activities
• Act as an HR advisor and make recommendations to managers based on ethical judgment and in compliance with applicable laws and charters
• Ensure employee well-being by implementing engagement and retention practices
• Collaborate with the Marketing department to develop and maintain the employer brand
• Manage the immigration process for internationally hired candidates
• Draft various documents and reports as required by the company and management (job descriptions, employment contracts, termination letters, amendments, disciplinary notices, satisfaction reports,
employment confirmation letters, employee handbook, etc.)
• Oversee the development, design, and implementation of the company’s various policies and procedures
• Welcome and onboard new employees
• Implement practices to support employee skill development and ensure the global training plan is followed
• Administer the group RRSP, manage vacation banks, and oversee all employee benefits

 

Recruitment


• Develop innovative strategies and identify potential candidates through headhunting on social media
• Manage the full recruitment cycle for various technical roles
• Create and maintain a pipeline of both active and passive candidates
• Conduct phone and in-person interviews
• Schedule interviews for selected candidates and coordinate meetings with the appropriate managers
• Post job offers on relevant platforms, analyze and screen incoming applications
• Act as a strategic partner by sharing insights on the job market and advising managers throughout the recruitment process
• Participate in job fairs, career events, and networking activities
• Coordinate and take part in HR- and administration-related activities


Qualifications


• Hold a certificate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management/Industrial Relations or other relevant education
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar HR role
• Have at least 2 years of recruitment experience, including 1 year in IT profiles (ideally)
• Demonstrate ethical sensitivity and sound judgment
• Possess excellent written and spoken communication skills in both French and English
• Have knowledge of labor legislation in Quebec
• Being a member of the CRHA (an asset)Working conditions
